Vroegtijdig Mvuu verlaten. Maar goed het kan niet anders en we hebben, ondanks alle corona perikelen, een paar prachtige dagen gehad. In Balaka nemen we afscheid van Marie. Marie heeft besloten om in Malawi te blijven. Mocht Mvuu dicht gaan dan kan ze altijd naar vrienden in Lilongwe of Balaka. We spreken af dat ze ons op de hoogte houdt van alle dingen die er gaan gebeuren. Het blijkt dat Lemani ook niet stil heeft gezeten. Via een vriend heeft hij kunnen regelen dat we woensdagmiddag naar huis kunnen. Dit is een omboeking en vliegen dan via Londen. We moeten dan wel \u20ac220,00 per persoon bij betalen. Stuk gunstiger dan donderdag \u20ac800,00 betalen. Ik ben benieuwd of het Sophex is gelukt wat we hebben afgesproken. Ik vind het elke keer weer ontroerend om te ervaren hoe iedereen zijn best doet er het beste van te maken. Vandaag ook weer. Een titsjenge is de lange wikkelrok die alle vrouwen dragen. Mijn blouse&nbsp; is mooi geworden maar we zijn het er over eens dat een v-hals toch beter staat. Dit gaan ze vanmiddag nog doen. Ik heb straks een prachtige blouse maar helaas geen opening. (foto 8)<\/p>\n<p>Nu op naar Ntcheu. We moeten nog naar de bank en een aantal spullen kopen. Deze keer gaan we achterop de motorbike-taxi. Maulana gaat met ons mee. Een helm is verplicht maar ik vraag me af waarom. De helm past van geen meter en als ik m\u2019n hoofd schut valt die af. Het hele ritje is ook weer een belevenis. ( foto 9)<\/p>\n<p>Lemani komt ons weer met de auto in Ntcheu ophalen. We besluiten een laatste afscheidsdrankje te doen op een terras. Eerst moeten we zelf wel de stoelen buiten zetten. De chiefs komen afscheid van ons nemen en we gaan hiervoor naar het community centre. (foto links) We worden bedankt voor alles wat we voor Dzoole-village &nbsp;doen. Ook praten we over toekomstdromen die de chiefs voor hun dorpen hebben.&nbsp;&nbsp;Elektriciteit naar alle dorpen, meer waterpompen, scholarships, betere wegen enz. Voor ons allemaal heel begrijpelijk maar uiteindelijk draait het allemaal om geld en dat hebben zij niet en\u2026\u2026\u2026.wij ook niet. ( foto 12 )<\/p>\n<p>Wat er duidelijk wel uit komt is dat we het er over eens zijn dat de jeugd de toekomst heeft en dat dus <strong>de scholarships<\/strong> het <strong>belangrijkst<\/strong> zijn. We worden getrakteerd op een flesje fris. Ook krijgen we plakken witte brood, voor hen blijkbaar een hele traktatie. ( foto 13) Tot slot bekijken ze het hele gebouw. Het is gezellig.&nbsp; Lemani, Emmanuel en Chifu praten goed engels en Philip en Jillian kunnen dit ook al aardig. Hierdoor loopt het gesprek een stuk makkelijker. Zij zijn de toekomstige bouwers van dit land, van Malawi.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Woensdag 25 maart<br \/><\/strong>Om 7 uur is de hele familie aanwezig om afscheid van ons te nemen. Er wordt ook nog even voor ons gedanst en gezongen. ( foto 1 en 2) Geknuffeld wordt er deze keer dus niet. Wel een beetje vreemd afscheid zo. Het valt me nu ook weer zwaar. Wanneer zien we elkaar weer? Hoe zal het gaan met iedereen?\u00a0 Hoe zal het met onze projecten lopen? Zal agogo (oma) er dan nog zijn? Zij is uiteindelijk meer dan 80 jaar. Zo wordt de weg onderhouden. De mensen worden dan om een uur of 5 gewekt door een paar verklede jongens die schreeuwend&nbsp; rond rennen door het dorp. ( foto rechts ), een soort dorpsomroepers. Wij hadden dit die ochtend ook wel gehoord maar hadden geen idee wat dit had te betekenen. Het is een soort toneelspel maar je merkt wel dat de kinderen best bang voor ze zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Onderweg naar Lilongwe bespreken Lemani en ik nog een aantal dingen. We hebben o.a. een lange discussie over de onderwijzers huizen. Omdat ze op de grond van de school staan zijn ze nu van de overheid en innen zij ook de huur.Zie: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/helpmalawi-nederland.nl\/index.php\/2020\/04\/16\/update-maart-2020\/\">Update onderwijzershuis<\/a><\/span>&nbsp;<br>Zowel Nanne als ik vinden dit heel vreemd, maar goed zo zijn in Malawi blijkbaar de regels. Als we in Lilongwe aankomen moeten we eerst een internetcaf\u00e9 opzoeken waar we onze E-ticket kunnen printen. Na een uur ook gelukt. En nu op naar de luchthaven. Om 14.20u. vertrekt onze vlucht. Alle tijd om in te checken en samen iets te eten. Onder het eten worden we opgehaald door iemand van de luchthaven. Of we even direct mee willen komen. We worden naar een kantoortje gebracht. Hier moeten we&nbsp; \u20ac220 per persoon betalen. Pinnen? Nee, contant! Na weer een heel gedoe bij de pinautomaat (er is op het hele vliegveld 1 pinautomaat en die werkt dus niet goed) kunnen we de mannen in het&nbsp; kantoortje het geld geven.&nbsp; Waar het geld blijft???? Eindelijk alles geregeld en de tickets op zak.<\/p>\n<p>Ja, en dan afscheid nemen van Lemani\u2026\u2026. We zwaaien hem uit tot de auto niet meer zichtbaar is.<\/p>\n<p>Om 14.30u. zien we onder ons het Malawiaanse landschap. Zandwegen en hier en daar een dorpje. ( foto 6) &nbsp;Dit vliegtuig zit helemaal vol, 300 passagiers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Donderdag 26 maart<\/strong><br>We komen om 6.oou. aan in Londen en worden per bus naar dat gedeelte van het vliegveld gebracht waar we over 10 uur verder kunnen vliegen naar Schiphol.&nbsp; Ho\u2026 niet meer dan 15 mensen in de bus vanwege corona ?? En wel hutje mutje, 9 uur lang, bij elkaar in het vliegtuig !! Schiet ons maar lek.<\/p>\n<p>En nu dus echt zin in een lekkere kop cappuccino. Schetst onze verbazing, op heel Heathrow is geen kop koffie te krijgen. Alles is dicht. Er zijn ook bijna geen mensen. E\u00e9n voordeel, we kunnen languit liggen op de banken van Starbucks. Om ongeveer 16.00u. vertrekken we uit Londen. Om 18.15u. landen we op Nederlandse bodem. We zijn thuis. (Foto 7)<\/p>\n<p>Ja, en dit was het dan. We hebben geen idee hoe alles nu verder zal gaan. Niet hier in Nederland en niet in Malawi. Wanneer nu de opening zal zijn, we weten het niet. Helaas zullen wij daar niet bij zijn. Maar ja\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..het is niet anders.<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Nanne\u2019s ervaring<br><\/u><\/em><em>Zoals ik in mijn eerste stukje al schreef zou het bezoek aan Malawi mijn eerste ervaring met het continent Afrika zijn. <\/em><em>Daar waar we drie weken zouden blijven is dit door de corona crisis uiteindelijk twee weken geworden. <\/em><em>Ik kan zeggen dat ik het ervaren heb als twee zeer intensieve, mooie en bijzondere weken. <\/em><em>Ik heb het land mogen ervaren op een speciale manier en ik heb gesprekken gevoerd over het leven in Malawi die een toerist normaliter na 6 weken nog niet zou voeren. <\/em><em>De rust, de vriendelijkheid, de lachende gezichten, de nieuwsgierige blikken, de gastvrijheid van alle mensen die ik ontmoet heb met daarbij de schoonheid van het landschap maken dat ik Malawi omarm<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks alles heb ik een goed gevoel over onze reis. We hebben bijna alle studenten gezien en gesproken. Ik heb het vertrouwen dat het met de schoolbibliotheek helemaal weer goed komt. Het community centre is zo goed als ingericht en kan nu prima functioneren. Ik heb alle vertrouwen in Lemani en de 3 jongens dat zij het centrum goed zullen beheren.<\/p>\n<p>En\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..het was gezellig met Nanne. Ze was een fijne reisgenoot en een harde werkster. Ik heb haar zichtbaar zien genieten en ook zichtbaar zien verbazen. Ik heb het gevoel dat ze zeker op een andere en bijzondere manier een klein stukje Afrika heeft leren kennen en dit wilde ze graag.<\/p>\n<p>Als laatste hoop ik dat ik over 2 jaar weer een reisverslag kan schrijven. Het is geweldig om daar te zijn en te ervaren dat wat je hier doet in Nederland, daar in Malawi zijn vruchten afwerpt. <strong>We gaan er weer voor!<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maandag 23 maartDaar gaan we dan. Vroegtijdig Mvuu verlaten. Maar goed het kan niet anders en we hebben, ondanks alle corona perikelen, een paar prachtige dagen gehad. In Balaka nemen we afscheid van Marie. Marie heeft besloten om in Malawi te blijven. Mocht Mvuu dicht gaan dan kan ze altijd naar vrienden in Lilongwe of Balaka.
