Sponsor voor Binali Twaibu, de blinde jongen
Op 16 december schreven we:
“Sponsor gezocht voor blinde jongen Binali Twaibu”. Deze sponsor hebben we gevonden. Binali wordt nu gesponsord door de LSBS. Dit is de Landelijke Stichting voor Blinden en Slechtzienden. Zij sponsoren hem tijdens zijn hele lagere school periode.
Als stichting zijn we hier heel blij mee. Maar blij en gelukkig is vooral Binali. Hij gaat nu weer naar de school voor kinderen met een visuele beperking. Vandaag 9 april kwam het onderstaande bericht van Lemani, onze contactpersoon van Future4All in Malawi. Hij had een bezoek gebracht aan Binali. Ook had Lemani Maxwell bezocht. Maxwell is een dove jongen die daar in de omgeving op een school voor slechthorende en dove kinderen zit.

Hi Louise,
I went to see Maxwell and Binali in their respective schools yesterday. They were very happy to have me visiting them at school. Binali is the best performing student at his school and comes first in the National Braille Reading Competition for the past consecutive years. According to the head teacher at his school, Binali is a brilliant hardworking student who has a bright future. They are really in good schools. The school of Maxwel Paul, Mountain View is far from the tarmac road in Thyolo and I even had a breakdown along the dirty stony road on my way back. Thank you so much for supporting these students, they really deserve it.
Lemani probeert 2x in het jaar alle studenten te bezoeken die wij sponsoren. Als stichting blijven we zo op de hoogte van hoe het met alle studenten gaat.
